Rintaro Matsui had the sweet swing of success this year in the Sub League 2 and captured the Outstanding Hitter Award.
The Steel second baseman stung opposing pitchers with a .347 batting average, collecting 18 home runs, 46 doubles, 9 triples, 147 hits, 90 RBIs and scored 92 runs.

2023 was a special season for Pittsburgh second baseman Brian Blake and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Sub League 1 Outstanding Hitter Award.
Blake compiled a .343 batting average and a .482 on-base percentage this year. In 113 games he piled up 141 hits, 41 doubles, 3 triples, 15 home runs, 101 RBIs and 103 runs scored.

He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Jesús Morales performed like a veteran on the hill for the Little Falls Steel and walked away with the Sub League 2 Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process.
The 22-year-old Steel star fashioned a 18-2 won-loss record in 2023 with a 1.93 ERA. In 191.1 innings of work and 29 starts, Morales struck out 154 while giving up 161 hits and 33 walks. He held opposing batters to a .225 average.
