Milwaukee is the Over The Fence Champions for 2023. They did it with a 8-0 triumph to capture the series 4-3.
"Both clubs are talented. We just made fewer mistakes than they did," the winning manager said to the press corps at the postgame press conference. "We made the crucial plays and got the timely hits."
The Baltimore skipper agreed with that assessment and added, "We were a little weak on fundamentals at crucial times. I have a sneaky suspicion we will be working on fundamentals a lot next spring."
On the way to the LCS Round championship, the Brewers ended up in first place in the National League Central and compiled a 113-49 record during the regular season. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 113-49, .698 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 62-19, .765 PCT | | Record on the road | 51-30, .630 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 13-5, .722 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 20-14, .588 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 38-14, .731 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 75-35, .682 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 7-3, .700 PCT | | Record in April | 20-8, .714 PCT | | Record in May | 21-8, .724 PCT | | Record in June | 15-10, .600 PCT | | Record in July | 20-9, .690 PCT | | Record in August | 20-8, .714 PCT | | Record in September | 17-6, .739 PCT |
