In yesterday's contest at Groundhogs Ballpark, Taylor's Edmund Gibbs and Aurora's Joe Unknown caused the benches to empty when they went toe-to-toe against one another. Only Gibbs and Unknown were ejected by the umpires.
Upon hearing that the two players had been suspended 9 games each by the league office, harsh comments came from both clubhouses.
League officials have warned both organizations about the consequences of premeditated retaliation.
So far in 2023 Gibbs has hit .325 with 20 home runs and 68 RBIs. He has played in 93 games and scored 70 times.

"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Barrón told reporters after the game.
