Alonso Quiñones collected another hit in the River Otters 15-1 win over the Fulmars. The Tacoma first baseman was 2-for-5 in the game. After the game, Diaz commented on his 20-game hitting streak, "I'm not doing too much, just trying to get the bat on the ball and put it in play."
His manager told BNN, "Alonso makes it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup everyday."
A. Quiñones struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This season Quiñones is batting .269 with 106 hits and 21 home runs. He has scored 69 times and has 64 RBI. |

At the age of 26, Alonso Quiñones might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Tacoma first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 10 hits in 25 at-bats, 4 home runs and 13 RBIs last week in 6 games.
So far this year Quiñones is batting .268 with 20 home runs. |

It was a masterful game today for James Ash. The River Otters hurler pitched shutout ball against the Plano Bohemians en route to a 8-0 win at River Otters Ballpark. In the game Ash rang up 7 strikeouts, walked 2 and allowed 4 hits.
This year Ash has a 9-3 record and a 5.66 ERA.
