I guess the trailer is more part of the equipment thread than general so with that this trailer has one chain attached and its just a welded chain link to the tongue area. So needless to say I dont like it, and want to mount two chains and need some advice on how to mount them to the trailer.

Should I just add D-rings to the trailer to attach the rings to it or? other ideas welcome.

Yeah I just read that last night. I got the trailer prep dont to add some D rings for the chains, I was just trying to see if someone has a better idea or if I should just use the D-rings as they seem the easy way to go.

Did you just bolt them or using something bolted to the tongue for the chains to attach too.

My gooseneck has the chain welded to the frame. The chain itself isn't welded, but there is a loop welded to the frame with the first link of chain in it. I'm sure it would be easier to drill a hole and bolt it with Grade 8 hardware.

Use a hook like this, or similar.

It seems nobody has 155/80/13 tires or even 165/80/13. Probally going to have to figure another size out for my trailer.
